Long term warranty insurance
Energy storage is one of the fastest growing markets in the world. According to the latest forecast from BloombergNEF (BNEF) global installations are projected to reach a cumulative 411 gigawatts (or 1,194 gigawatt-hours) by the end of 2030, 15 times the 27GW/56GWh of storage that was online at the end of 2021.
The audience and interest at the 8th Energy Storage Summit in London reflected activity and excitement in this rapidly growing market. Charley Grimston, Altelium Executive Chairman and a speaker on the panel discussing ‘Fast and Efficient Ways of Obtaining Investment’ reported:
“The London Energy Storage Summit this year was outstanding, a very full house and a wide variation on creating and adding value. For Altelium it was an opportunity to discuss how we accept degradation and technology risk under long term warranty insurance and how it helps matters such as debt service cover ratios and contingent liabilities. This relates equally to EVs and BESS.”
