Our story

The transition to Electric Vehicles is accelerating. It is a big change which generates a number of challenges. Altelium is here to address battery anxieties for consumers and the Trade alike.

Altelium has assembled a team including battery experts, data scientists and insured warranty professionals to create key products that inform and protect people and the batteries in their electric vehicles.

Altelium uses battery tests to generate real-time data on each EV traction battery. This data is transformed into easy-to-understand reports about each specific EV battery. This builds buyer confidence that the EV in front of them will deliver what they expect in terms of range and longevity at an appropriate price.

This makes the sale easier and faster which reduces the amount of time a dealer holds the vehicle in stock and maximises its value at the point of sale and its residual value when it will next be sold or financed.

Backing up the information with a warranty adds another layer of certainty and financial protection.

Altelium works with some of the world strongest Insurers to provide ‘A’ rated cover behind the Balance Sheets of the providers offering service plans on the EV batteries. This provides the financial backbone behind the reassurance offered to EV dealers and both private and commercial buyers and sellers.
